TGHH, Tok Pa & Ustz. Nasa, me spik inglis litle litle!

TOK GURU NIK AZIZ SAYS HE IS EMOTIONAL AND ANGRY OVER UNITY GOVERNMENT ISSUE

Pas spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat accused party leaders pushing for the unity government as "Umno puppets" out to break the Islamic party. Admitting that he was "emotional and angry" over the issue, the Kelantan Menteri Besar said the unity government issue did not came out from the party but certain individuals. "I want to stress that my stand is unchanged. We are solidly behind the resolution made in the muktamar (annual general meeting) in Ipoh last year supporting Pakatan Rakyat.
"It is true that there are now two factions in Pas which are for the idea and against it. The inspiration to form a unity government came from Umno and they are obviously happy with what is happening in the party. "I know this because I have received the information," he told reporters after meeting a group of Kafa (religious) teachers from Selangor at his official residence JKR10 here today. When pointed out that the idea for the unity government was mooted by Pas president Abdul Hadi Awang, Nik Aziz said the president was only the head of the party but the party never agreed to the decision. "It is a personal statement. The issue was never in the agenda (of the recent muktamar) and was also not in the presidential adress but it was only brought up later (in a press conference)," he said.
Nik Aziz called on Pas members and its allies in the Pakatan to remain calm and not to worry. "We are confident of solving the issue soon. We know how to handle it and efforts have been made to solve the problem. We have gone through many crisis before, including with former president Asri Muda and many party leaders leaving the party but we are still standing today and in fact, much stronger than before. "Previously, we are only supported by Malays but today, it includes Chinese and Indians," he said.
On calls by DAP leaders for Pakatan to review Pas’ position in the grouping following the issue, Nik Aziz said there was no need for it as the idea did not come from the party. Nik Aziz also criticised Pas election director Mustafa Ali for asking party leaders to refrain from making statements on the issue. "Why should we shut our mouth? We have never been stop from making statements but why suddenly this time? I think they are making the call because they have been put in a dangerous position. "Islam has never stopped us from talking as all questions have their answers," he said.
